    Very happy

I'm doing a road trip with my 2015 Micra. Poor little car didn't know what happened to it when it had to do 500 kms in one day instead of one month! Its an automatic but I think on the highway ....Hwy 3 in BC the Crow'snest Hwy...i have got over 30 mpg. Plus it's really packed up....with. a (short) cat tree ..no cat) and three boxes of dishes, 2 suitcases , 2 boxes of miscellaneous and a heavy food bag.

    Love this car!

I have new respect for my Micra. 9 hours of driving yesterday. 3 summits on the Crowsnest Hwy ...up and down again and speeds up to 120 kph. Nelson to Victoria in 12 hours. The car must have welcomed the 2 hours on the ferry as a rest from driving as much as I did!

How's your fuel economy on this trip? And how's your butt? The seats are decent but I don't know how I would feel after nine hours.

I have a lot of padding on my bottom, and the seat felt fine to me. :-) I had an attack of sciatica a few years ago and my doctor said something about it must be painful in the car. I said no.... for some reason, the car was the only place I felt comfortable.......

Mine is an 2015 automatic. The little counter said I was doing 100 kms on 6.4 litres. Considering our gas prices are in the $1.40 to $1.50 range, I really appreciated that.

I passed other cars, on the flat and going up hills!!! (An aside -- there are some really bad drivers out there). I also found that it really was necessary and seemed to work well to shift down to 2nd for some of the steeper downhills. These mountains -- I guess they are the Cascades, are a pretty good elevation. The three high passes I did were about or over 1500 meters.

I drove the Crow's Nest once - loved it.

Glad you enjoyed the drive and the car did well! No reason it wouldn't.

On my 12 hour drive home, I kept thinking that the engine might explode. No rational reason at all. I know it is not a "mini" engine. I think I simply could not believe how well it performed. 4 years old this coming September. Just getting broken in at 25,000 kms.

Sure glad you are happy. Always nice to find a level area (if you can in BC) to check the engine oil to see if it is good. Working an engine real hard they can use a touch of oil. Chive on!

Doing this trip again in 2 weeks. I'll be sure to get my oil changed beforehand, and thanks for reminding me.

I did a 900 km trip on Wed this week in my 2015 SV mt.
    Windsor to Buffalo and back.
    Very comfortable ride at 120km/hr.

Gauge showed 5.8 L/100 going east and 6.3 l/100 going west.
I think there was a bit of a westerly breeze that day.
This is with the AC on too!

Enjoy the trip, patty! Let us know how it goes this time around.

PS: considered making a garage entry for your Micra?

    Garage empty: add car
