What car did your Micra replace? Trade-in, sold, or none of the above?

But I thought it would be interesting to have a dedicated place to see what kinds of vehicles people have traded/replaced with their Micras.

In my case, the current answer is: none of the above, because I don't have one yet. I'll probably never sell my old Firefly, even when I eventually have to get a newer car.

i had a 2010 hyundai accent hatchback before the Micra. Too bad i no longer have the Micra. RIP.

My Micra replaced an 05 Hyundai Accent 3 door hatchback. After 40 years of driving only manuals it was my first automatic tranny. It was OK and it worked. I had no problems with it but I did hear that they were trouble prone. The auto in the Micra is head and shoulders above the one in the Accent. Shifts into 4th at 58 kph with torque converter lockup about then. Compared with the Accent shifting into 4th at about 70 kmh with lockup at 80. Just a smoother tranny any way you look at it.

Rupert Rabbit: interesting take on the transmission. I was also expecting not to like the Micra's 4-speed, but was pleasantly surprised by it. The way I drive, it's very smooth and decently efficient (early & often torque converter lockup).

Rode this kit built 60km/h electric bike for about 5 years before i got my Micra. Rush hour in the Micra is considerably less "exciting" but dont miss 20km rides home from work in the rain though.

1999 Toyota Corolla, had it 16 years.
Charcoal canister was broken, too much $ to pass emissions, traded in, got $300. for it. Broken in 2 times since my son beat up the guy who broke in and stole his sub woofer, next time the guy cut all the wires to the harness. My dad patched each wire, and it started. Wish I had a photo of the patch job. Was a great car! It put up with teaching 2 teens to drive and it was my '17 second' car at Cayuga 1/4 mile track. Here it is over the 'pit' in Haliburton.
