WOW - you have a pit to work on cars! Very envious.
Also: that's crazy about the cut wiring harness. Hope the perp got a second beating!

There was a bit of a gap in-between, but this (09 Civic Si sedan) was basically the Micra's predecessor. Miss the VTEC kick, but not so much the fuel economy.
First car: 1984 silver Nissan Micra
Current car: 2016 Gun Metallic Nissan Micra SV

Sadly someone ran a giveway, tboned them, cars frame was bend.. went to car heaven.
Pro: Car was fun as hell being a early semi-automatic with flappy gear changers
Con: High maintence, needed to top up oil every 2,000 KM as a example.
Good weekend car, my mistake buying it as a everyday car. As that saying goes, being wealthy isnt aboutt buying a expensive car, its being able to sustain it.. or something like tthat.

I bought a 2004 Audi A4 Quatro in February 2016 after getting in a fender bender with my 2007 Toyota Yaris.
The Audi is a fun drive, super comfortable, but not very easy on the wallet when it comes to repairs and premium gas. winter would see anywhere from 10-12L/100KM, summer 9.5-10. On the road though with cruise control I could easily hit low 8's.
However parts kept breaking and reliability became a problem, I put 35000km within 13months. Last time it gave up on me I had just came back from Cuba, I met the best Nissan Seller ever (whilst in cuba), which happens to be a friends dad. I went in, tried it, and signed the papers, Audi isn't even sold yet, its now fixed and I'm putting it up for sale this week-end. Good bye old friend, i've had enough of your shenanigans.
The emotions are cars make us go through sometimes...

polarbe4r - which engine & transmission in your Audi?
I have an aunt who bought a 2004 A4 cabrio brand new and she still has it. V6 CVT. She LOVES it, but has spent a LOT of money to keep it going. As proof of her love: she spent ~$8k on it last year, including major engine work (I think it started to eat its camshafts). $800 just last week for a power window regulator.
She could have bought a new Micra for what she has spent on the Audi in the last few years.

2004 A4 Quattro, 1.8T, Auto transmisson, non cvt. Yeah they are expensive to upkeep, mine is going on sale today, and hopefully can get a bit of money back.

2007 Honda Fit. I probably would have bought another Fit but the back window appeared to be smaller than necessary and the price was about $5000 more. Gave the Fit to my daughter who traded it in a few years later on a truck!

2004 nissan sentra 1,8s, love the car, had it for 11 month. I sold it because of its unreliability... Great first car, lots of fun!![]()
What problems with the Sentra?
I have considered getting one around that age to use as a winter car.

The transmission began to slip, the exhaust was pierced and the catalytic converter was bad . In addition, I had to change bearings, ball joints, link stabilize and brake caliper. For a winter car it is great, and they are not expensive. Since I'm a fulltime student, It is nice to have a problem free car.
