June sales: UP 14% vs. last June

    Another decent month:

    • Sales of the popular Nissan Micra subcompact totaled 1,056 units in June, an increase of 13.7 per cent.

That puts the monthly average over 1000.

    July numbers...

1127 Micras last month. That upped the monthly average a little bit.

And GM sold a bunch of Sparks again... they made it into triple digits!

    August Micra sales

    Another good month:

    • 1,116 Micras sold in August vs. 870 last year

That makes the Micra the 2nd best selling Nissan car model here (barely behind the Sentra at 1,242), and bumps up the monthly average yet again.

    Overall, Nissan's sales are great:

... best August in the company's history. This sales achievement marks 25 consecutive months of record sales for the Nissan Group in Canada.

    September sales

A fantastic month for the company...

MISSISSAUGA, ONT. – Nissan Group today announced monthly Canadian sales of 12,007 units, an increase of 9.7 per cent over last year and the best September in the company's history. This sales achievement marks 26 consecutive months of record sales for the Nissan Group in Canada.
And a really good month for Micra...

    • The Rogue, Murano, Armada and Micra posted best-ever September sales.
      • Micra subcompact sales increased 17.4 per cent with 1,138 units sold, representing a September record.

That's above the 2015 average and its 3rd best month this year.

im really happy this country accepts small cars. it's not always encouraging to see like 50+ percent of all cars be behemoth pickups or SUVs

Im still impressed how many of these guys sell on a normal basis.

Unlike some countries (cough cough.... 'MURICA!) we have nothing to compensate for and have no issue driving something smaller.

tbf, pickups are still the no. 1 most sold cars. and even in a dense, crowded city like metro vancouver, i see waaayyyy too many gas guzling SUV's.

    October numbers

Another great month for the company in general, but a ho-hum one (relatively speaking) for the Micra in particular.

    Micra: 880 sold last month.

    Overall:

Nissan Group today announced monthly Canadian sales of 11,534 units, an increase of 24.2 per cent over last year and the best October in the company's history. This sales achievement marks 27 consecutive months of record sales for the Nissan Group in Canada.
