So many add ons, how does one decide? I know you do it for me!

Well here I sit tonight, thinking about the bomb. Having a little trouble trying to decide what to do next.

There is a sub woofer I want. I already upgraded all my speakers but it left me wanting a little more umph.

Then there are the wheel spacers. Beyond choosing if that's my next upgrade, do I go 2inch or 1.5. Will 2 be too much and look silly or more aggressive?

And then there are the racing seats I've been pining for. Really cool but may take some custom work to mount. Not sure if I can use parts of my existing seat frame or I may have to fab something custom. But boy do I love that look.

Decided to let you guys help me decide. I'll place my order Sunday night.

I'm currently bidding on a seat on eBay & starting to think about how I'm gonna fit it aswell? I'm hoping the sub-frame and rails come off the standard seats then just modify them too a universal sub-frame for the new seat? I think you should go for the seats Vapor and then I'll wait around and copy how you fit them haha!

The problem with messing with the seats is the fact they have an airbag in them. Sure it can be done but in the event of a T-bone incident it would present issues for insurance and legal if the stock airbags were removed. Not telling anyone how to or not to mod their car just a heads up

In the case of a modification like this it's a must to information you're insurance company of the modification it will make little to no difference on the cost of you're insurance. But you will then be covered if you have an accident.
That's how it works here I imagine it's the same for you guys.

Ah nuts, I thought the airbags were in the side pillars. Well I'll ask the insurance company see what they say. Thanks for telling me that though Pete, the info is much appreciated.

Also with the wheel spacers I'm going to have to stiffen up my rear suspension. All loaded up at the meet, the rear end was sitting fairly low. If the wheels stick out the wells might rub. Luckily I already have an airbag kit I want to install, but haven't got around to it yet.

There is air bags in the pillars aswell as the seats. There are two ways of sorting this out. The first & cheapest is to put a resistor in so the air bag light goes out. but you will then have no air bags working, or there is some fancy way the electricians no about doing that means all the other air bags will still work and the light will be out. Thesis probably pretty simple but when it comes to electronics I'm totally clueless lol! Unless it can done with either a spanner, a hammer or a welder I'm screwed haha!

Well you guys have certainly opened my eyes about the seat purchase. I obviously had not thought this through as well as some of you guys have, and after all the problems Kris had I'm not sure I want to risk it.

Well I'm doing spacers in about 2 weeks when they arrive..
We could have a spacer install party

I went to a pawnshop and tested out a similar subwoofer and it sounded great.
