Cool What can you fit in your Micra?

Hi again everyone, my apologies for not having posted anything for the last little while; it's been quite a month out here in northern Alberta with the Ft Mac wildfires, and my department (I work for emergency social services) working in partnership with the Red Cross & other agencies were doing all we can to support the evacuees, and now we're helping them gradually transition back into Ft Mac starting June 1.

Things have eased off a bit for me to get back into the posting habit again, I'd like to start a thread about what are some of the things (mundane or totally weird) that you were able to fit into your Micra. My wife and I will be leaving for a long road trip to Winnipeg soon, and we tried to test-fit various luggage in the trunk with the back seats fully upright; here's what we were able to fit with the hatch still able to close:

We were able to squeeze in a large 31 inch suitcase, a medium sized 28 inch suitcase, a 21 inch carry on, 2 full backpacks and a small duffel bag, with the rear seat totally free & empty. Not bad at all for such a small car!!!

Wow that rear trunk is pack full! Any issue with your Micra's acceleration?

Haven't tested that yet, all the hard side suitcases were empty, and the duffel bag and backpacks were filled with sweaters. We just wanted to do a test fitting and see how bulky luggage would fit in the trunk for now. We're going on a long road trip with 4 adults and all of their stuff packed into the Micra in a few days; I'll be reporting how the Little Guy handles all that weight and the gas mileage shortly...

personally, i'd never load up my car in a way that affects my visibility thru the rear window or rear side windows....not only is that a visibility concern, but it's also interior cabin safety: if your car stops suddenly (by your own accord, or thru a sudden crash), the things inside will fly at a velocity that pose very real dangers to inside occupants.

this goes especiially for sharp-ish objects. never EVER store any pointy or sharp edged objects, even things that seem 'harmless', loose inside the cabin.
