I hope so too.
Update; Nissan Tech Support told them to replace the ECM and the car should work fine again. The cost of the ECM is usually expensive but for our car it's $280. Phew not bad. Plus Nissan is putting it in and reprogramming for me at no charge so that's a relief just gotta pay for that part and the bcm they already did..
Jeez. Remind me not to dick around with the electrical on this thing.

Ya I wouldn't dick around with any of the electrical after this **** that.
What I was told happened is when he was fiddling with the rear taillight wires I went in car to press turn signal to see if it worked with resistors and apparently pressed the brake light which sent a signal down and shot back to the ECM due to the resistors, so in turn too much power went to it or something like that.
So I wonder if you can rip it out and use a low tech relay switch system.
That should've not been able to do that. That should have been safe guarded.

Welp this just sucks...they replaced the ECM reprogrammed it took it for a test drive said it ran great as they headed back to the dealership same thing happened. The car stopped accelerating normally and is screwed up again.
They called Nissan Tech Support again and waiting for call back. Since its weekend and a long one at that won't hear more til Tuesday.
Wow, what a mess. I haven't read all the old post, is it due to adding a resistor on LED brake light? I tinted my rear window and I was thinking of change LED white backup light, I guess I should just leave it after reading your post.
That sucks. Sounds like it may not be related to the lights after all?
It never really made sense to me anyway... all the lighting circuits are fuse protected. I don't see how you could have fried anything upstream of the fuses, even if a wire was shorted.

Seem like Chris went to Nissan and was like .. " I did this ( lights ) and then this happened( car issues ) ...
Nissan just ran with the narrative. For all we know this could be the manifestation of "the engine knock"

I was hoping you'd get your car by this weekend. This must be torture for you and one heck of an inconvenience. I can't imagine..
