I hate tow trucks and their operators, the main reason why I need to keep the spare tire inflated and in place is because of them...otherwise it would be a nice weight reduction.

In our culture obsessed with absurd excess, the Nissan Micra is my counterculture car of choice.

I understand why you are choked about this with only 300k. If insurance is going after the towing company then you may be ok. The proof is what it is so I mean they towed your car and they damaged it so how can they elude paying on a brand new car? Im sure the towing company must have insurance for this but is denying it to hide a drunk or lazy , poorly trained operator.

here in BC, you are never liable for damage caused by a tow company, so long as it happened while in the care of the tow company's employee(s) and not you. THus, your insurance is not affected. I hope this is how Ontario and QB works?

second, there is an infamous CBC news piece in Youtube, about tow companies in Ontario being real nasty and awful in how they work...again, not an issue in BC.

    here, i found it:

pretty horrible how they operate. do you guys experienced this, too?

Lol! You should put spikes on the front. But that would definitally add to the whole.. unnessiary damage.

So. in the end, my insurance company would refund me the pieces + labor + 2 days of car rent, which is 1102.82 - 500 $ deductible. which is 602.82$..

I told the insurance guy, if they are unable to to reclaim the damage from the towing company, i will bring the towing company to court.

When i was doing my budget last night, i found a big hole because of this extra 500$ i didn't plan..... I could have bought the white Micra die-cast and still have 400$ to have a trip to Toronto... and go to sugar shacks... So i was.. very angry... and I have decided to cook up a letter to reclaim that money from the towing company. If they don't pay, i will send them to small-claim court.

    Wish me good luck!
