I was just looking at some of the ferry pictures... they got the cars packed on like sardines in a can. Just how close to each other are the bumpers on the cars? Was someone guiding you in? Is there enough room between bumpers for someone to cross over? Looks tightly packed.

For anybody wondering about the imposter "Micra" following everybody around yesterday...



... I would have preferred to bring my 1998 Firefly, but it's not on the road yet for the summer. To keep it from rusting, I have been driving a different 'winter beater' each year recently: '07 Civic 5-speed last year, '04 Prius this year, '04 Echo 5-speed for next year. I'm behind schedule selling the Prius, so the Firefly is not back on the road yet.

A friend said to me: "you're the only person I know where the winter 'beater' is usually nicer than your summer car!"

There is only a few inches between bumpers maybe six or so at the most. I think it would hold 24 or 25 micras. With all the light micras on the left side of the ferry it felt like it was leaning to the right to me.

Yup, the ferry loading staff guide each car very close to the car in front. There's usually JUST enough room to walk in between. Sometimes you have to turn sideways and do the shuffle, or go to the next gap.

Ok. Thanks. 24 Micras to fill the ferry. So you guys managed to half fill it then? I know, lots of questions but I'm 12 hours away from your start point at 100kph with no traffic, non stop driving. I really think it's great for you guys to post the pictures. No one made a video of the cars being loaded on?

I have a video on the ferry of some cars and stuff but not the loading. I think vapor has a video of the loading. A portion of my video is already posted on instagram and Twitter but I can't get the link from work.
