Nissan to conduct voluntary recall in India for Micra and Sunny

Vehicles manufactured between June 2012 and March 2013 will be recalled in India by the Japanese auto maker. The recall is not confined to India and will also be conducted in other auto markets including Africa, Europe, Latin America and Caribbean, Middle East markets and Asia. A total of 67,089 units of both the cars will be recalled for master brake cylinder including the 22,188 units to be rectified in India only. The company has specified that it is a voluntary recall, Nissan as of yet has not registered any complaints in India.

Japanese auto maker is said to be developing a sub-four meter sedan and a compact SUV for the domestic market. These vehicles are likely to be based on the Micra platform.
