And Nissan must know something we don't because the juke which has the same frame but double the tq/hp has a brace going to the strut. So does the Altima. But micra has no brace on the top end.

All 2004-2008 model Pontiac Grand Prix's are built on the same revised W platform, but I guarantee you that the ones with more powerful engines came with heavier motor rails. You wouldn't notice it if you had the car up on a lift; visually, they look nearly identical. However, the heavier motor rail is made of thicker metal. I'd be surprised if the Juke's motor rails were exactly the same strength as the Micra's.
