Trunk metal easily dented! (hip-checked it shut)

My true love hip checked the trunk closed. Do not do this !!

Dent is 4"x6" and will pull or push out easily. Pretty funny, actually.

Opposable thumbs are a really great idea and a powerful tool, but, as with all things powerful they must be treated with respect and used prudently. So if you've got 'em, be careful with placement and power setting when closing/locking doors

It is a Micra, through and through. Thin sheet metal has always been a hallmark of this car. Keeps it light.

Lol I too know the pain of denting the car with your thumb/knuckles when locking up.

If you look at it the wrong way, you WILL dent it..lol

Looked at my trunk and could no longer find the dent SWMBO put in it. Could hot sun have popped it out ? I'm sober and it is gone.

I'd say that's possible, especially on a part of the car that gets slammed a lot (hatchback) to help with the popping-out process.

The dent must not have had any creases in it.

Every seen a hot cold dent removal video on you tube? It does work but not always. I had a dent in my hood a few weeks ago that appeared one day in the paking lot at work and I was able to push it out through a hole that was allready there to the lleft of the hood latch
