thats interesting. i do wonder, however, how that impacts crash safety, and also warranty concerns.
It's more for when you need more space under the hood. It can't see it affecting anything like that.

The idea is it creates better airflow under the bonnet, keeps everything cooler & cooler the better with forced induction. But that's all crap really, I just like the look! Haha!

Well, this certainly has been a Micra Summer Adventure, just having recently returned to Edmonton from a stay in Grande Prairie AB:

Good reception with this 3rd party antenna! Actually it's North America's largest sundial in Grande Prairie

...And a new souvenir from our trip! Little Guy's first official major highway battle damage; we were passed by a contractor's truck doing 130 - 140 kph (we were around 115 - 120 kph, it really is the Wild West up here) when it flicked a rock right near the bottom left corner of the windshield, right at the edge where the glass meets the seal. Needless to say, it took only a few hours on the road for the crack to grow to about 1/3 of the way across the windshield before we got home:

Luckily our local Nissan dealership was able to replace the windshield free of charge (parts + labour) thru our GoAuto membership. Now with 18,000+ km, we're looking forward to more adventures with our Little Guy!

It does a great job of keeping bugs, small rocks, etc. out of the rad & air conditioning condenser. $15 or so at Canadian Tire or Walmart, it's a great investment for long trips in the summer. We're using elephant clips to fasten it just under the plastic bumper edge and along the plastic guard edge just above the radiator, so far it's staying put...

Besides, with his superhero "mask" on, no-one will ever guess his secret identity...
