2015 Micra K13 factory sway bars / stabilizer bars (pics)

Nissan has said that Canada is the only country to get front & rear stabilizer bars on the Micra.

Here are pics underneath the top-spec (SV) car at the Ottawa auto show this week:Click to zoom.

    FRONT:

These pictures are shot front-looking-to-back. At first I didn't think there was a front bar on the car, but there it is tucked in behind the tie-rods (pink "FS7" label on it).

    Left side:

    Right side:

    REAR:

I couldn't find the rear sway bar, unless it's tucked inside the channel of the torsion beam and connected to the trailing arms where I couldn't see it...

    Left side, looking forward

looks like same setup in the rear that the Note has with an integrated stabilizer bar...also the fuel pump assembly looks like it's in the same location as well

So, is the rear bar visible in either of those pics?

Nice pics Darin, thanks for grabbing them.

Note-ified, do you have any images of the Note rear sway bar?

with the semi independent suspension in such a light car, i wouldnt be that worried about it. depending on how stiff the axle, and axle bushings are, i can see how they could get away without in other countries

i dont have any pictures of the sway bar on the Note, but that's because it is integrated into the torsion beam so the first pic that metro took of the rear where you can see the torsion beam, the sway bar is inside the I beam that goes from one side of the car to the other i believe

On a torsion beam style rear suspension like that, the torsion beam IS the sway bar...

The aftermarket "sway bars" appear to just reinforce that beam rather than have a conventional sway bar.

I've seen factory sway bars used to reinforce the beam as well, I figure it's easier to make one beam for every car of the body style, then switch out different sway bars to tune the suspension to suit their needs.
