    Removing salt from carpets

    Does anyone have a good method of removing salt from the carpet?

    1 part of vinigar for 3 parts of boilling water , and scrub , scrub a lot.

    I hate salt stains..all of my cars look like hell because of it..
    My friend bought a new car a few years ago and spent the money on the Weather Tech matts...his carpet still looks like new..only uses them in the winter months...
    I'll looking to get a set shortly...front and back likely!

    I've used just hot, soapy water and a stiff bristle brush to scrub out salt in my last 2 beaters.

    Also key: a shop vac to suck up the water once the salt is dissolved, and then the fresh rinse water.

    Pressure washer if its the cloth ones.
