Just bought a backup camera from Amazon for my 2015 Micra SV

Installation is supposed to be very straight forward but my question is how difficult it is or if it's even possible to run the camera wire through the license plate light socket (the camera sits on top of and attached to the license plate)?
I will attempt when the weather is bit warmer (I'm in Canada) and hope someone will give me some directions.

i installed a camera AND license platelight off ebay(its somewhere on this forum i think) snapped right in,and the wiring was very straight forward form what i remember..i have the wiring up by the dash...you MAY want to consider a head unit that can accept a camera..its in the cards for the micra but i did it for the 97 prelude....fairly straight forward...need reverse light feed..i dont think you ll have a problem running wires...i did it...rock on canada...lol

this one LOOKS identical, its got a socket for the existing license plate light,and it snapped right in
