I called UHaul, they have nothing yet for a Versa Note, or the Micra. Said to try again in a few months. I'm looking to mount a bike rack on it, not tow my 5th wheel. Anybody else look into this?

UPDATE: got one -- see post #3 below.

Soooo, with a new baby in the house, I haven't had time to post much. I bought the car as a family hauler, as our regular cab B2300 was getting a little cramped with the 3 of us:eek:
I needed the ability to move bikes as I do most of my commuting via bike and will often ride to meet my wife somewhere, or often ride on the North Shore mountains. Anyway, long story short, thanks to the above link, I went out on a limb and bought this hitch from out of Quebec. This company was GREAT to deal with and fast to deliver, plus only $25 to deliver out to BC. It took me about an hour to install, but nothing too onerous. It is very well concealed. I added the Swagman XTC2 bike rack (also a Canadian company, although the rack is manufactured in China) purchased from MEC. All in all, came to just under $400, but a really nice set up to use. I would recommend getting the Swagman XTC2 over the cheaper XC2, as it has better wheel cradles with straps, as well as an anti-vibration threaded hitch pin. This probably added 60 lbs (!) to the weight of the car.

Nice! Thanks for the pic.
Added to the Micra mods list.
PS: who stole your hubcaps? :D
Thanks woofer2609 for sharing.
I have one or two question.
the hitch did you photo's below or it this fixed.
and have you been forced to modify or drill the micra.
How has the hitch been working now that you've had it for a while? More feedback please. :)
The hitch is working really well. To address an earlier question, no mods or drilling were needed to mount the rack. It mounts in 4 spots. You remove both drain plugs to access two spots, and then the main mounting point is the tow hook. There is one other mount attached into the bumper on the passenger side. ( I believe, I'm just going by right now.)
I am very happy with the product and would recommend it to anybody!
Thanks for this post. I'm planning on ordering this trailer hitch for myself. Has anyone been able to find a wiring harness for our micra's so we can get trailer lights to work?
I have the wiring harness installed as well, I think I have the Curt part number in another thread, but the Micra shares the same taillight wiring as the US Versa Sedan (not sure which years, but very current ones). Curt makes a plug and play system that goes between the taillight sockets and the harness. I highly recommend this as there is no cutting of wires. About $65.
