Thanks IMPUL
Hood deflector looks great too. Not too many of us have them. Very nice.
I noticed the gap between the hood and bumper is huge
Hi guys, installed mine. Now I got to install the clips. What do I have to do? I wish someone filmed himself doing this. Do I have to bend the clips or something?
Thanks!
You push them up into the channel.
2 for the front window one for the rear.
Turn them so it's an upside down U.
Use a flat head screw driver.
For the front, one goes on the vertical section by the side view mirror approx 1-1/2-2" up from the bottom.
The other goes in the opposite end of the door, horizontally, about 1" away from the doors/windows edge. ( where the door opens and closes ) there is a line in the rubber trim, it goes near there.
For the rear, it goes on the hinge side of the door, again like an upside down U, about 1" away from the edge.
Don't bend it. You need it open. It applies pressure to the visor and the rubber trim.
Think of it as a wedge. Like an open umbrella..
I'll take some pics in the am and post them.
Thanks in advance. The visors look like they fit just right without the tension shims but I'll put them anyway just in case. I know where they have to be placed. They make it quite clear in the plan and the videos. I just don't understand how you place them.
Just push them in with your fingers, and then use the flat head screwdriver to push it all the way in until it's fully seated. You need them to prevent the visors from coming unstuck. It should be oriented so your window will come to rest inside the U part of the clip.
Ok that makes sense. Will try this today. They should have explained it this way on the tutorial.
EDIT: I just installed them. I have the feeling I should have done it at first as one of them in the back fell off while inserting it. Let's say I want to add another tension shim for the rear visors, where can I find them?
I actually ended put a little silicone on the sticky part of my back ones and kept my windows up for a few days to let it dry.
