Newbe to the forum

Hi all. Proud to say that I am a Micra owner. Her name is Rosie, (the missus named her lol) she’s a 2011 Micra ST 1.2 automatic she has 85,000KM on the clock and pure stock. I got her for Christmas 2020 from my Mother (think she had enough of myself taking her car to work lol. Jokes) she noticed we needed a second vehicle. I’ve been reading this forum a lot lately with anticipation to upgrade and personalise her and get the most I can from 3 pots. At the moment all I’ve done is 14 inch wheel covers $20AUD & 5%ceramic tints all around $200AUD. Recently bought a set of 17 inch rims $100AUD which I have yet to refurbish before fitting new tyres and giving ROSIE a decent set of shoes haha. You're one of the few Aussies on the forum - we didn't get the 1.2L engine option here. I would have loved to try it though.

At one point Nissan was considering selling the Micra in the States, so they loaned out a 1.2L K13 Micra [same as yours] to some journalists to try, and they had a lot of fun with it. Unfortunately, the company decided against selling the car there, even though it was designed from the outset to comply with US auto market regs/requirements.

Ultimately all the Micras sold in the western hemisphere ended up with the 1.6L four-banger. The yanks would have had even more fun with that one. Their loss!

PS: not to chase you away, but are there no Micra forums down under? I recall looking [before we started this one] and there was a sizeable one for the earlier generation of the car that seemed to be more popular.

Haven’t found one yet that cover K13’s. and that is current as well. I have yet to look on social media. (Hardly on social media only have it for market place)

Yeah, I suspect if there's a current forum it'd be on Facebook. Unfortunately, these old school www forums are going the way of the dodo, even though they're still superior to FB in some respects.
