Richard, welcome to the forum!
Thank you
hey man, I was looking at the picture of the pedal well lights, and I noticed that the knobs' lights are way brighter than the ones in my car.
Did you change the bulbs for LEDs? what brand?
What fog lights did you add, and how are they?
I bought the lights and bulbs on amazon.ca. I plasti dipped the housing black
Attachment 5679
Attachment 5680
The were a easy install and I am very happy with them. The yellow lights are more for astetics than anything. It's a complete install kit with wiring, housing, bulbs and everything you need.
Thanks for the info! Would you think a novice would have any trouble installing it?
And unrelated, when you installed your lower lip, what did you clean the area with first?
If your comfortable taking the front bumper off (one bolt inside each of the front fender liners, 3 screws from underneath and a few clips across the top under the hood) the actual light install itself is very easy. The wiring is a bit more tricky to get through the fire wall. Basically a wire to the battery, one to the fuse panel, and a few ground wires. The physical switch that was provided I didnt use cause it didnt really fit anywhere. I used a rocker switch from canadian tire. If your interested I can send you some more detailed pics of my wiring.
For the front lip I used alcohol wipes to clean the area. I work in a pharmaceutical plant so I had them readily available. The one I got came with not so great 2 sided tape. I used the tape and I actually screwed it to the bumper with large washers in several potenially worrisome spots like the corners etc where the tape could let go more easily.
Sounds like it would be a bit tricky for me, but I may give it a try later on. I would love the extra info though in case I do, or just as a learning experience.
So would you say rubbing alcohol is good enough for cleaning the area? Not sure of the content difference between that and what you may have had in the wipes.
