HVAC Knobs Scratching Surface

I have noticed that there is a sweeping scratch on both the mode and temperature selectors. I have seen other 2019s with the same issue. I believe it’s caused by the silver knobs contacting the surface.

I brought it to the attention of the dealer and they have ordered a new HVAC assembly under warranty. I believe it’s a revised part so hopefully it doesn’t occur again.

Interestingly enough my 2017 never had this issue so I’m curious as to why the newer models seem to have this problem (especially with such low mileage - under 10,000km).

Has anyone else experienced this? If so, what year is your vehicle?
