So who has all installed aftermarket lowering springs? I was thinking of just using some fleabay springs. is it really that different from tein or other cheaper springs?

Spring rating would be a big difference
Cheap spring will give you a poor ride quality.
For my self im going to order a scale suspension coilover but they are 1400 for the base model and im going to get the swift spring upgrade. They are 1800
Hope to see some nice looking micra soon
Honestly I can't rationalize spending that much money on my suspension quite yet, but I understand proper coilovers would be best. I just hate how the factory springs give the front larger fender gap than the rear.
Hopefully more options start to become available.
Most of oversea coilover need to be taken from a note e12 but one that i know it fit is the scale one because the micra cup work with them to build a nice set for the track
Well here's a rational, if you think you'll get a high quality ride from a 10grand car, or less, don't expect it. That's why the aftermarket scene exists, to finish what the manufactures didn't do, to keep their prices down, so don't expect it to handle as nice as a car that does have 1,000$ to 2,000$ more investment in its stock suspension.
