Door handle interior covers

so far so good, they arrived and they are the right size and fit. they fit over the indent here:

so I decided to paint them to match my interior vent rings and blue stitched gear shift and e-brake:

SO bought paint to spray them and unfortunately the colour isn't QUITE right but they look good so far. I will post a picture tomorrow when dry, but I think they are the wrong colour so may have to get another (better) paint as it seems not to be metallic even though the can says it should be when painted over chrome.

very streaky paint, and it is dupli-colour auto so it is supposed to be good. may have gotten an old can and may request a refund, or just buy new paint entirely. Hope to have them matching, and possibly matte spray over top to match the matte chrome vent rings.

Shook it for 10 minutes before I started and all it sprayed was the metallic flakes, then kept shaking and it only sprayed light blue. Finally towards the end of the can it was dark blue. Think it's an old can of paint that separated and wouldn't mix. Unfortunate, but I'll have to check on the fried product before I go to work to see how it cured :(

Alright, FINALLY got this whole debacle sorted out, and it looks really great. Colour matched to my vent rings almost perfectly. I bought new paint which worked much better and matte clear coated the top after dry.

It needs a better adhesive so I will pull them off and reset them on the door, but I am VERY pleased with the final look.

Hope everyone follows suit as it adds a nice touch of colour.
