That was a great video of the lady who had a original Micra. The dealership where she purchased it from gave her a brand new Micra I thought was very cool

929 Micras sold last month! This is up from 877 last month. Lets hope to break 1k next month. :)
Nissan Group Reports June Canadian Sales
Wow - here's something else VERY interesting (to me anyway) in the numbers:
A year ago June, Nissan sold 915 Versas (both sedans and Versa Note hatchbacks).
This June, they sold 1659 Versas, an 81% increase. So much for worrying that the Micra might cannibalize Note sales?
Or are we seeing the remnants of the sedan fleet being sold off at hefty discounts? We'll never know, because the company doesn't break out sedan vs. hatch in their stats.
The Micra commercials are terrible. I have heard a lot of people say they are crazy. I could do a better job.
You mean these ads?

Micra's July sales passed the 1k mark.
The folks at Nissan must be smiling: July was their best ever sales month... and Micra was a not insignificant part of that with 1250 cars sold.
I've updated the table in post #1... and here's the direct link to the figures:

After shopping around for an inexpensive, smaller car, I can't see how these other cars compare. Nissan hit a home run with bringing the Micra back here. The Mirage and Spark are most comparable in price, but seem to be much smaller and just plain ugly. As for the Fiesta, Mazda2, Fit, Yaris and 500, they're overpriced... by a lot. I really liked driving the Fiat, but cannot justify the extra $6,000 for a base model. That's like buying another solid used car for the winter. It seems like a no-brainer in this segment, and I think the sales figures at year's end will prove this theory.
Decent sales continued in August: 870 Micras sold.
That's part of an overall August sales record for the company.

I'll let Darin update the actual numbers... I just had a peak and Mirage/Spark are still getting their arses kicked. Badly.
I guess GM and Mitsu' just don't care?
Even the early summer $9998 promo by Mitsubishi was a really half assed attempt, being that it was a limited time offer and they didn't even bother to change their billboard campaign from the $12,xxx price. WTF? LOL!
