I once saw an original VW Beetle done up with a similar paint job where they stripped the body off the car, and slowly dipped it into & out of a pool that had different colours of paint floating on the surface. It came out with quite an amazing effect.

I watched the guys at 'DipYourCar' do it on their youtube channel a while back, I assumed that's what it was at first since it'd removable.

This is a freaking awesome paint job. Wish mine looked like this, one day when I have the time maybe haha!
You don't need time! You just need a couple of energetic children and 5 or 6 cans of brightly coloured paint.
