for changing plugs i dont think ill run into any issues regarding that since ill be changing the intake manifold soon to either after market or custom, it will not be long runners, but will go straight out the front.

Each piece is good for +10hp.

In japan the Note Nismo S uses it’s own japan only HR16DE, power output is 138hp, high compression engine at 11.2:1 ratio vs North America HR16DE at 9.8:1 the JDM engine also uses dedicated internals, valve train + con rods and crank shaft.

We do have hptuners as an option for tuning. Assuming the new interface works like The original hptuners does, you might be able to squeeze a decent gain out of it. With an intake I would guess probably 10ish hp at the wheels is possible but the area under the curve could see good gains by playing with vvt tables and timing
The best option for power is turbo. And ntech is developing a kit apparently. But you are still only looking at 150hp ( 41hp gain ) at a cost + install = to that of the car.
i would do install myself only have to pay for tune afterwards, but if i was to do turbo i would create my own kit, however im not a huge fan of turbo due to reliability, i will definitely look into the turbo later on when i dont have to worry about reliability.
Have you looked at the U.S. Versa forums?
Probably not a lot of tuning done to those cars either, but they sold a METRIC TON of those cars in the States, and Nissan sold them by the hundreds of thousands (vs. ~20k Canadian Micras sold). The last gen (pre 2020) Versa had the same engine & manual transmission as our Micra.
There's bound to be a small number of people in those forums who have modified their engines.
nitrous man, nitrous, your gonna BEAT that guy in the Porsche across the intersection and the lane is YOURS..
The HR16DE Micra can mop the floor (or track) with a 2003 Civic Si that would be a 1.7L SOHC vs our 1.6L DOHC. Upgrading Tires, Suspension, Brakes, Intake, and Exhaust makes this little thing fly around the track. I was able to do 160 km/h at about 5000 rpm in 4th gear
OMG brady you have nitrous written all over you !!
I can merge fine, i just want to be able to do it faster, i went from a 450hp pickup to a 320hp car down to a 109hp hatchback, id just like more umph in the acceleration to be able to match the speed of at least a 2003 honda civic.
If you want reliability you just have to NOT push the button next to that Porsche
