Yeah, this whole situation is weird. The tech didn't really care about the TC page, they said they hadn't had anything come down from Nissan.
I would think that a little bit of concern would be shown, TC is a government agency and they listed several Nissan models affected. This isn't just hearsay from a forum.
Going to definitely contact other dealerships.
i wish i could find a honest dealership . i have bought a lot of different brands but it seem like
they are all full of it.
Did anybody find out if their Nissan dealer is aware of this yet?

Well hopefully they don't keep it quiet for 10 years like a certain car company did. *Cough!* GM!
just today i got a recall notice after been told about a month ago there was no recall!
what bs we should be treated better. i will think twice before buying a nissan
On the other hand, I don't think they were purposely giving you the runaround.
It sounds like the dealers weren't notified about the recall for some time after Transport Canada announced it. Maybe head office needed a certain amount of time to ensure parts were ready and prepapre instructions for the techs.
I just got my recall in the mail in accordance to this. They are asking to remove everything from the key ring, minus the Nissan key. Parts available now.
