Anyone have any tips to finding one aftermarket? Does Versa part fit? Every place around me tells me it's dealer only part priced at $275+ also any tricks to replace it without tearing everything apart?

See if the part number for the Micra and Versa is the same - often you can do that by searching the part for both cars on a site like rockauto.com
Also: what about a used blower motor from a junkyard?
Rock Auto doesn't carry blower motor for Micra..just Versa? Lol..but looking on eBay I think I've found that they are in fact the same.. thanks for the reply
Sceptical about a used one because the install is such a pain..book says.4.10 hours
You're sure it's the motor and not the resistor?

I've ordered both from RockAuto.com.. I'm thinking it's the motor because it was getting weak then making noise.. then quit.. but hopefully it's just the resistor.. much easier fix. Lol.. book rate is 4.10 hours for motor.
I think if it's just the resistor, it would still blow on max/high. Affects the lower speeds.
Yes. That's what I've read. No fan at all now.
some one else went down this road before and i remember you had to get the WHOLE blower form canada but other countries? do sell parts..and someparts look like they could be the same...juke?....but could it be as simple as a giant leaf down the intake, or squirrel nest? a long shot for sure, probably a wrecker blower is your best bet i think the nissan one was like 1.5k? (maybe that was with labour) taking wrecker one OUT should help put good one IN

pop filter cover off and look inside ...with vacum
Ordered a new blower motor and resistor from Rock Auto.com $87 Canadian shipped. Nissan Versa is same part number.
id get the vacume or the compressed air out,its pretty easy to take the "filter...lol...acess cover" off
update.. changed out resistor...that wasn't it but it was only $14 so it stayed in.. buddy swapped out blower motor.. works great now. Book rate is 4 hours at the Stealership.. buddy who has never done one before did it in 2.5..anyways a/c is blowing for our hot days here in B.C.
Thanks for the update.
