Yeah, you know you'll have to go to Walmart at some point... I donno, there's a sale, something you can find for cheaper than at any other store, you're in a hurry and you have to go to the nearest store which happens to be a Walmart...

I always park in the far corner. I try to park with one side tight to a curb to reduce door nicks and I keep away from areas that have a lot of abandoned shopping carts.
I normally just park at the first parking spot I find. If far from the entrance and I see plenty of parking spaces closer - I'll park closer. I don't want to bother wasting time and gas in looking for the closest parking spot.
I think all but once, when I've done this I've come out to another car parked directly beside me... I haven't been unlucky though, no dings that I can say were from other cars, not like the fiance, she works in Niagara Falls tourist area and her brand new 2018 has 2 massive scratch/dents from people.
None of my cars are nice enough to worry about it. :D
