The Micra is currently supplying our sump pump and well pump with a few thousand watts. Probably need a new alternator by the time it's done but my invertor is saying it's only 400w after initial start up on the pumps which spikes up to 2250 for the well, and 1500 for the sump.
Took 2 hours to drain the basement. Saw sustained 100km/h winds and a few hundred km of rain last night.

That's smart thinking, you might now have a generator, but you got a micra utility vehicle.

Glad you were able to put the Micra to good use. Most inverters have big capacitor banks to handle the spikes - I bet the alternator is just fine.
