My base micra is great! I feel I would only need a/c a few times a year as it would just cut my fuel economy for the most part. I do however mostly highway driving and enjoy having the windows down!

Never owned Toyos or Maxxis car tires however they were pretty good on my bike..
I've never had a problem with the Michelins that I have owned..
I think that you are definitely going down the right...
