    Cool

Did a few mods to the bomb. Found some new headlight bulbs at 50% retail at the local pawn shop. As well I scored over $200 dollars worth of LED lights for for about 12 cents thanks to a smart me and a dumb Wal-mart manager. I have only installed one so far in the hatch area. Managed to wire and mount it without drilling any holes or cutting wires, so there's a small victory. Yay! Warranty intact. Trying to figure out where to put some more to light up the back seat area and all floors. Anyone here ever tried to buckle up pair of kids seat belts back there at night? Better bring a flashlight, glow stick, or something.

Also found a set of speakers at the ol' Wally world for $20 (I know right?) and installed them in the front. No pics but they were of the Dual brand, were 4 way, 160 watts rms, and actually sound pretty good. You lose some of the base up front but I plan on adding the all in one powered sub from Wal-mart as well sometime in the future. The great thing is I can now go to max volume without causing any distortion, in the front anyways, the back still sounds awful but mostly only if your actually sitting back there. Very important since my years of being employed working on or next to super loud things has left me a little hard of hearing. I'll get another set if they come back in stock.

As well one night while at the Canadian Tire touchless wash I emerged to find a peice of rubber hanging down beside the drivers side window. Was all like " What the F#$% now? turns out those touchless sprayers are damned powerful and the blew the rubber molding that runs along the roof right out. I popped it back in but seeing that they are only secured at two attachment points I was worried that it might happen again. Pulled them out and layed a bead of clear silicone down the groove and set them back in. No more worries, but it gave me an idea. I chromed the Micra out because I didn't like any of the accent colors to go with red, but one has to be careful to not go too chrome and cross the tacky line. Many a Newfie has fallen into this trap, but I'm walking a fine line. I went to Canadian Tire and picked up some 5/8's chrome molding trim and layed in down on top of the black rubber strips. I like shiny things. Will add pics asap.

    "Things to come ?"

Glad you asked. I'm 90% complete a pair of steel skid plates to bolt to the sub frame to protect my oil pan and other low hanging items. And now after seeing pictures in the stabilizer thread I'm going to move onto fabbing up some front top and lower strut braces as the body rolls like a barrel and I'd like to stop that. Also want to paint my drums and calipers red.

Ordered a bunch of toys from Aliexpress about 30 days ago so they should arrive any day now. Toys like a shark fin style radio antenna, door kick plates (I hope they fit, for 2010 March.), a rubber pad for the back bumper so my dog doesn't scratch it when jumping up into the hatch, third brake light flasher module to say "HEY! Don't rear end me!", oh, and those cool climate control knobs that come in red and silver.

Things I want but may never get.
    Roof Rack with basket
    Racing Seats
    Adjustable suspension
Turbo kit, there is a shop near my work that specializes in custom installations. Said it would cost between $3500 and $5000 all in.
    18 inch rims
    Weathertech mats
    Centre console armrest
    Dukes of Hazzard style horn
    and HID's for my fogs
