    Hey, what about those rod big end, valve guide CLEARANCES, and cam chain stretch? THIS is what I'm interested
    in, not deck height, rod lenght or whatever.

    Piston dish 16.5cc
    Piston dome 1.5cc
    Total: 15cc concave dish
    Head gasket : 1mm 4.77cc
    Head approx 17.5cc
    Total compressed cc . 37.3 est

    Play doh and graduated cylinder volume test. To confirm.

    Closed valve TDC 8.95-9.525mm clearance between piston and valve

    Full lift based on valve install height vs valve open height is >8.5mm-10mm

    Earliest open 27 btdc
    lastest close 49 atdc

    @45* B/ATDC 12.7mm below deck
    @22* B/ATDC 3mm below deck
    @14*b-14*atdc basically at TDC

    The engine is basically non-interference

    The timing chain uses a new style to push them from the ends instead of pulling from the middle .
    So there really isn't any info I could find on timing chain length and limit.

    Not into the bottom end yet so I can scope out the other stuff yet

    Extremely promising build thread! Props!!

    Is the uprev ECU/Tuning solution you are using the Osiris based one? Have you worked with it yet at all? I was going to reach out to one of their dealers in Edmonton to see if I could get a tune going for I/H/E. No public tuning information appears to exist for Osiris and our K13 Micras but I have seen Versa support/tunes being mentioned.

    I haven't decided on uprev verses aem
    I want to look into them more for user friendliness.

    If I want everything to be the same and plug and play mostly
    I might go with aem. But will also be asking for sponsorship.

    I've had some time with nistune. Still have my license

    For uprev they just need to copy your base map bin file first .

    This project needs a financial injection to continue.
    I should have been up for a raise and promotion and instead was shown the door.
    I will be taking a look at this again in feb 2018 and see then.
    As for my current oem engine, I have found someone who has directed me to Kitchener Nissan for a second opinion.
    When I have sometime or when it breaks which ever comes first, I will go there for inspection. Has anyone had experience with Kitchener Nissan?

    Sorry to hear about the employment situation..
    And too bad about the project..
    Hopefully they are able to get you sorted out in Kitchener and something better comes your way job wise.

    Looking forward to hopefully seeing more progress on this after tax season.

    It's okay. I was making too much money anyways and it started costing me money *scratches head* makes much more sense to be on EI making $11.25/hr sitting on my ass then constructively contribute to society. *face palm*

    On the plus side the employer got done what they needed. I'm not salty about it at all.
