Hello all!

I suppose that due to the Albertan winters and our use of more gravel than salt in our area the underside of my Micra isn't happy.

I noticed today while changing the oil that there was some rust forming on underbody of the car just in front of the rear wheels. The front wheels have been shooting gravel down the "skirt" section of the underbody all winter... This has resulted in sections of paint being stripped off and surface rust taking over...

My Micra has done 35000kms now and we have owned it since last August from brand new.
Has anyone else had issues in the same area? And if so any ideas on how to solve it? Or maybe just a heads up for someone who doesn't have this happening yet, maybe some protection is due?

I should've protected the area before the winter started but I didn't really foresee this as being an issue..
