I saw a guy I know who does auto-x in a slightly modified Miata yesterday and we were talking about cars... first he said "Did you see the big Micra pile-up at Calabogie??" Yup!

Then he told me the stock Micra can't compete in auto-x because it's too tippy. He said there are a few other cars that are excluded from competition - he mentioned the Fiesta and Mazda 2. But if an excluded car is lowered, it may qualify.

Anybody know if this is true? I don't really know anything about it, but I suspect there are some members here who do.

Here's an auto-x vid of a stock 2015 Fiesta ST, except aftermarket wheels/tires. He gets it WELL up on 2 wheels at around 21 seconds into the video:

We already know it's possible to roll a Micra on dry pavement with slick tires and just the wrong steering & throttle inputs. Thread: Micra Cup rookie driver rollover & recovery story (video)
