Welcome, Golfcart! Congrats on the SR.
What part of Ontario are you in?
Did you go for auto or manual?
(So many questions!)
What were you driving before? From your username, I'm guessing...

I drive a lot as my commute is 50 km one-way. So I went with what was most fuel-efficient, ie the CVT.
I live in Wellington County.
As to what I was driving, this is a little more like it:
That car is still in my possession. Needs new timing chain guides. And a cat (delete?).
(P.S. the Micra is the Golfcart )
Doh! Shoulda got the manual if economy was your main goal. In the real world it's a little more efficient, even though the gov't ratings are similar.
See: Head to head: 2015 Micra manual vs. automatic MPG/fuel economy comparison
There's no CVT in the Canadian Micra. Typo?
Nice looking Bimmer!

Golfcart (04-13-2017)
Fuel consumption was 7.7 (CVT) < 7.9 (Man) < 8.5 (Auto)
All the comfort of automatic with the economy of the Manual? Decisions...
The 2015 SRs had it as an option.
Thanks! That one is not mine, but colour is not far off, and I'll be putting (already got replacements) clear turn signals (currently ugly orange/yellow) while replacing chain guides to boot.
(Bimmer is "zee Landyacht" )
Which engine in "zee Landyacht"? The big version came with a v12, didn't it?

Zee Landyacht (2000 740iL) is powered by a lowly Aluminum-block iron-sleeved 4.4L 48-valve M62TU V8 with variable camshaft timing on the intake (VANOS). Mine's a sport package, so full gear selection at the box and shortened ratios (=better acceleration).
750iLs were indeed a 5.4L V12. It also had a secondary battery in the trunk, above the main one.

BTW, thanks for that link.
I had no idea Micra had a block heater built-in, though it makes perfect sense here in the Great White North.
No problem.
Yeah, the block heater makes sense here. Nobody in the "south" is going to have difficulty starting the car without it, but it helps with warm-up, fuel economy & wear.
I think they were standard on the 2015's and maybe '16's, but not on the '17's. Listed as an accessory now. Cost cutting!

Pictures are in! I swapped tires today to boot, so I have both rims on proud display.
