OK. I was going with the story of the Nissan rep in Ottawa.

He specifically mentioned there also being a matte black Micra with orange trim which wasn't there for the entire show. Maybe he was talking about the Montreal or Quebec City shows. I searched Google Images and couldn't find that car anywhere.

No problem. I'm a huge Micra nut, and I promise you, if there was a matte black Micra at the Toronto auto show, I would have snapped photos of it and posted it on my blog. Personally, I don't think the Micra can pull off matte black with orange trim.

Re: "Micra nut" - I believe you! To be honest, when he mentioned black & orange, all I could think was "Hallowe'en."

    Hallowe'en Micra, you say?

This would be far more appropriate:

I gotta say I'd miss the tumble seats. I know its a price adder, but for a small hatch car, versatility is paramount IMO.

For better or worst, my initial reactions:

Is it just me or does the side profile make it look like a big bubble?

I would hate to work in that engine bay, so tight!

Metro, did you notice if those rear seats fold down all the way or is that the furthest down it can go?

Looking like a bubble is perfect for 6'4" tall guys like me who have a similarly tall kid; it's what gives us the headroom and legroom we need. As for the engine bay, I've worked on much tighter, and being tight isn't necessarily a bad thing. Being poorly designed and over-engineered is.

Fair points all around. Having a 2001 Corolla, I have the luxury of having a relatively accessible engine bay. Of course, that doesn't compare to my old '66 Mustang, which didn't have much more than the block, with the engine bay being about the size of the whole Micra!
