I guess that for emissions, some burn-off revs are unavoidable. Still, the amount seems tolerable in your car - I didn't really notice it being too bad, and I was listening for it. But the Fit's rev-hang was unbelievably bad, 5 or 6 seconds, no exaggeration. Hondas are notoriously bad for this. It's almost as if they want to discourage would be buyers from getting manual transmissions.
