The 2015 Micra is a featherweight compared to most. But where does it rank among the lightest of the light cars in Canada? Let's have a look at the top 10.

Curb weights are from manufacturers' websites, current as of today for the 2014 model year (or 2015, if no 2014 model available as with the Micra). Ranking is by manual transmission weight (if available, else automatic).

No surprise seeing one car near the top of the list whose maker's famous philosophy was "simplify, then add lightness..."

*Note: just for comparison, Nissan Mexico lists the March (Micra) weight at 978 (2156) for the lightest manual transmission model. The Canadian Micra has gained more weight with additional standard equipment (additional air bags, stabilizer bars, power options, etc.).

So, the Canadian Micra finds itself on the portly side of the scale compared to its closest competitors, the Mirage and Spark.

But what about power to weight ratios? See thread: Micra vs competitors power to weight ratio comparison
