    Kode bonnet spacers

Finally got around to modifying and fitting my bonnet spacers, for no other reason really than I just like the look.
Our bonnets are on studs not bolts so it requires a little bit of work to make the spacers work. I bought some female threaded m8 x 1.25 tube in 4 1 inch lengths, then I drilled out the spacers to 11.5mm so the tube will fit inside. Shortened the studs a little on the bonnet, wound the tubes up the studs, put spacers over the tubes & then bonnet back on the hinges and short bolts up through the hinges into the tubes. And hey presto! I like it a lot other may not.Name: DSC_0217.jpg

This is a pic of the little female inserts I used. I will take some more from under the bonnet tomorrow in the light. Little tip is to just grid the inserts down a touch at the ends so they are just under 1 inch as the studs in the bonnet have a little tiny collar at the top. This just stops the spacers being free floating slightly in the gap!
