Nerd alert! I love me some charts.

Here's something I've been wondering about since the Micra arrived in Canada. And that something is: how has the Micra affected sales of Nissan's other small cars?

(It's something we've touched on a bit in the Micra monthly sales thread already. )

Here for your edutainment and digestion are two charts showing sales of the Versa vs. Sentra vs. Micra. One chart shows sales by volume, the other by relative percentage (what % each model makes up of total sales).

What do you think: Micra good little angel? Or Micra devilish little cannibal?

Notes:

1) The Note hatchback went on sale alongside the sedan in June, 2013.

2) Nissan's Versa sales numbers don't distinguish between the sedan and Note hatchback in either Canada or the U.S. But the cancellation of the slow-selling Versa sedan in Canada was announced in Feb., 2014 when plans for the Canadian Micra were revealed. So, it's safe to assume the Note represents almost all of the Versa sales by now.

3) The current generation Sentra went on sale in October, 2012.
