    Subwoofer

    Hi,

I bought my first car 3 weeks ago: a black Micra SV automatic with convenience package. I love it! Now I would like to upgrade the sound system and I think a subwoofer would be the best way to go. I need something small that won't take all the trunk space, something like the Infinity Basslink. Is there something I should know before I proceed?
Anybody here installed a subwoofer in their Micra?

    Thanks

i haven't personally installed a sub, but I imagine that the sky is the limit with the micra. Depends on how much space you want to sacrifice. One thing I can vouch for is dynamat. Our cars aren't the most insulated ones on the market to begin with, and a little (or lot) would probably help. I think the hardest part will be running the amp's power wires.

Would you want the subwoofer exposed to the elements on the under-carriage mounted spare, or are you talking about stowing that in the interior of the Micra?

I was thinking the same. The spare is actually under the car. Not sure this round one fits under the trunk mat.

I know that. But what I'm thinking is that it is a sub and amp combination ( I think ), its also designed for low airflow, so it could be tucked just about anywhere in the trunk of the micra without loosing a ton of a room for a box and amp. Mount it to the back of a seat maybe, or on the strut tower in the rear. Its also portable and easily disconnected so if you needed the trunk space, its easy to lift that up and out instead of a 40 pound mdf box and sub.

No it isn't. You'll need an aftermarket harness, or to change the head unit

    Hi all.
    I would suggest this
    http://www.amazon.ca/PIONEER-TSSWX25...9N3SA6XNMMQK8M

I'm 95% sure it would fit flat in the trunk and most likely make a level surface with the trunk lip. I'm trying to get my hands on an 8" model myself and plan on building my own case for it.
