    Stumbled across this today...

...two of Nissan's existing products shared the spotlight today as winners of the 2015 ALG Residual Value Awards. Nissan's Versa Note was awarded the 2015 ALG Residual Value Award in the Subcompact Car segment and, the made-for-Canada Nissan Micra received the inaugural 2015 ALG Residual Value Award in the City Car segment.

What is the residual value award?

those brands and models in each segment that are forecast to retain the highest percentage of MSRP after a three-year period.
And how do they know what your car will be worth in 3 years? They don't tell, exactly. If you want to see their FAQ: https://www.alg.com/products/residual-values/faq/

And the full Canadian 2015 results are here:

Residual value means the value of your car minus the depreciation that increases over time. Let say you bought the car for 20,000 dollars. After two years, the depreciation added up to be 4000 dollars. So your car residual value( net worth) would be 20,000-4000=16,000. lol
