You're the closest, but not quite.

It was my large rubber winter mat that was stiff due to the cold weather and it was set too high and rubbing against the column. I just pulled it back a bit lower and the noise stopped.

The man at Nissan service gave me the solution and he said it is a very common occurence! lol!

When I worked in IT, we called that a PICNIC error: Problem In Chair, Not In Computer.

In our culture obsessed with absurd excess, the Nissan Micra is my counterculture car of choice.

Alpha: that's funny! I'll be using that.

Dani: glad it was nothing serious.

At least if anyone with a Micra here getting this problem, then they will know what to check first.

I am also glad that my car is not broken, but last week some ahole parked beside me way too close, did not hold the door when he got out of his truck and broke my mirror and smashed my door. So now I have a broken mirror and a crease in my door about 5 inches long. At least he told me about it and he's going to pay for it, but it's still making me feel sick in my stomach when I think about my brand new car dammaged.

I will bring it to the Nissan dealer but those mirror are coming from Japan and might take a few weeks to get here. It's sad, I only got the car for a few months before it got dammaged. As for the door, they will try the paintless technic to fix it. Hope it will work.

Yes me too. I always park at the very far end of any parking lot, far from any other car.

but when I get back to the car there is often a car parked right beside me, and often too close for my liking, even tough the parking lot is full of empty spaces much closer. That is really anoying!

I wonder if there is any door protection that we can put on the Micra?

No, at least he had the decency to declare it and pay for it from he own pocket, so no reclamation to the insurance.

Did someone smashed your windshield? where did that happen?

vancouver downtown this was last year.

the repair shop made it all new looking, and aside from my deductible, my insurance paid all $2000 of the bill

but boy was it inconvenient. the lame-ass did it for no other reason than the fact that he saw my car first. at least he didnt touch anything else.
