37 dollars fora 5 dollar airfiler seems a bit expensive....and im still standing with the "abyss" the air filter falls into if you dont have an AC condenser "in the way"...probably that why they never came with one.....u should be wearing a mask these days anyway...so if u or the car has a changable filter ...its all good

    2015 Micra S (manual)
    no A/C /no power options/ block heater/4x 2 Ohm speakers...all factory stock in 2015
    Feb 2015 build
    9,999 purchase price + tax..no additional 1600$ because it was a 2015 purchased in 2016
so receipt says $8,399....+1600 .... so they look good i guess...for a brand new car!

Thank you guys also for this thread. I have a 2017 and found out that there is no filter present. So I guess prior to me owning the car, it's been running with no cabin filter at all -_-
Brought one from amazon and installed it. It was easy enough to install and I'm happier that there a filter there now.

Yes, it's one of those things I needed to consider when I was selecting the car. My wife probably would not have agreed if there was no ac. Lol

Well I got my first communication from Nissan Canada today, which is good to know, as the car is registered with Nissan in my name now, not the dealership that I had purchased it from. I opened up the flyer and saw that there were two figures....I thought oh, perhaps its "welcome discount" to encourage me to have my vehicle serviced at my local Nissan dealer(that point is moot, I will have it serviced there a) until such time the factory warranty is finished b) as I like the techs in Parts and Service).....I digress....anyways the one figure was for a savings of 0% on a cabin filter......$90!!!!(includes installation).....I know there are all grades of filter....and I presume this to be of HEPA quality....but $90 for a part that is so easily found generically, for much less money, and for a car that is no longer available for sale in Canada?.....Would it not seem wise for Nissan to ameliorate their prices a little on parts for the Micra in order that people at least consider the OEM parts, and buy their parts and accessories at the local Nissan dealership, rather than heading directly to the knock offs, because you know the OEM parts are going to cost the earth?.....So endeth my rant....

No probs.....I only found out about it by accident. I went to the official Nissan site, and found this.....https://nna.secure.force.com/support...wnershipChange

I was having difficulty inputting some info, so I called Nissan directly. They mentioned that the local dealership could make the changes for me, and so that's who actually did the change. If I hadnt found out about this, the vehicle would have still been registered on Nissan Canada's database as being owned by Pioneer Chrysler!....and I wondered if this would have impacted future warranty work.....probably not, but I guess now they can send me all kinds of promos.....

i know i own the car but i bought it brand new from the nissan dealer...BUT they were very honest,it had already been put "in service" so was missing warranty time.So i think that means nissan canada still thinks the dealer owns it kind of like if you bought a used car that had changed owners 3 times...would nissan know it had changed hands unless you told them? (no they wouldnt)
