Here's a YouTube video showing a current gen. K13 Micra (March) 1.6L owner scrolling through the various screens of the Multi Information Display (MID) in his car.

The Micra shown at the various Canadian auto shows had the same dashboard.

    Trip computer/MID pages:

    • Fuel gauge/level (always shown)
    • Main Odometer & Time of day
    • Trip A odometer
    • Trip B odometer
    • Fuel consumption (instant)
    • Fuel consumption (average)
    • Distance to empty (fuel)
    • Time of day only

Noteworthy: at 338 km showing on his trip odometer, his fuel average economy display says 19.3 km/L = 5.2 L/100 km = 45 mpg (US) = 55 mpg (Imp).

Pretty nice for a factory gauge.

Can't watch the video at work... is average trip average, or tank?

That is nice. I wish all cars came equipped with instant and average fuel consumption.

Not sure, but my guess is it's a resettable average. Probably requires manual reset when you fuel up.

MICRA: yes, it's really nice to see the "instant" gauge - for comparison, the Mitsubishi Mirage has a resettable trip MPG gauge, but no instant.

I don't know why they don't always offer both. Its not like it takes that much more coding to do it...

Agreed. If they're calculating the average, they already know the instant value. So why not show it?

It's a bummer that more cars don't have a good readout for fuel economy, its really nice to see it on such an inexpensive car.

    Agreed!

Ironically it used to be that the most efficient cars that got the best fuel economy (old Civics & Metros) never had mileage meters. They were only available on the expensive & thirsty luxury barges.

Nice to see the cheapest freakin' car in the country with both the instant & average resettable gauges.

Haha, yeah. If they can afford to add it on the cheapest car in the country, every car should have it...
