Hi santanarc -- welcome to the forum.

    What trim did you get?

If it's like every other stickshift I've tried, you just unscrew it (counter-clockwise).

EDIT... I'm WRONG... looks like it's press fit - see post below.

How come you need to take it off?

If i'm not mistaken it's press fit in.
A lot of people are saying to just cut it off but proper pressure with the right tool should pull it out. I've given up for now (Don't feel like making a mess of the oem shifter knob)
    Good luck !

I was thinking the same thing my micra is a micra s Canadian version. I was thinking is a press fit I tried to twisted counter clock wise but it was a no go. I think I am going to give up as well

Looks like Johnskers is right. It's press fit.

Here's a thread describing the shifter knob removal from a current gen 2012 Versa (shares many components with the Micra):

    http://www.nissanversaforums.com/gen...read-size.html

It says you should be able to pop it off by pulling (no special tool req'd, but it's on very tight).

Metro do you know if that means the rear seat headrests of the Versa would fit with the Micra's rear seats? The Versa has the smaller inverted style headrests I believe (like the 2015 Brazil Micra). Just curious. Thanks.

Not sure on that one. If you're asking about the Versa Note, you could always check easily enough at a dealer. (Versa sedans will be gone soon from Canada as the 2014's are sold.)

Seems I'll be keeping mine, that looks like a big hustle.

Anyone attempt this recently? Tried to get the stock knob off yesterday but almost bursted a blood vessel trying to pull it off. Was following along this guy's advice: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q-yoYAa_jfY

There has to be an easier way... otherwise need to hit the gym.
