The Nissan Micra that is sold over here only comes with a 1.2 liter 3 cylinder engine, either with or without mechanical compressor.

The cheapest version (without compressor) at 9,999 € all in for the 5 speed base model (Visia) produces 59 kW (80 hp) and has a 6.1 and 4.3 l/100 km rating for city and highway respectively.

The version with compressor (DIG-S) produces 72 kW (98 hp) and does 5.1 and 3.6 l/100 km in the city and highway.
One reason why it can combine more power with better economy is the 10% longer gearing, it will no doubt be quieter on the motorway. It has A/C which the cheapest version misses.

These are 2013 data though, not sure what they are going to change. The model appears to be the same as the 2015 Canadian version

The dual injector system is a pretty simple concept, but seems to be an excellent idea. All of the little gas saving percentages here and there add up. 109 hp is plenty for this little car to get around town with and cruise along the highway.

Yep, cool idea. It obviously doesn't cost too much more considering the cost of the vehicle. I know direct injection would most likely be more efficient and powerful, but I am wondering why more manufacturers haven't gone this route.

I've updated the first post with a dyno chart that I found of a Versa Note which also uses the HR16DE. It is a before and after shot where they added an Injen intake to the car. Thanks to Note-ified from nissanversaforums.com.

Interesting video that overviews the twin injector system the the CVTC (Continously variable valve system.)
