Lightbulb Parking brake swap? (to Versa discs?)

Since the e-brake has drums, and the SR has 16" rims, and the Nissan techs told me that Versas use slightly bigger brake disks, I am thinking it would be a nice upgrade to replace the drums with the disks - just use a Versa kit. Has anyone tried it or seen it?

I think the Versa uses rear drums too:

I just looked up the specifications for the VERSA sold in the USA and compared with the Canadian MICRA.

They both have 8 in diameter rear drums.

The MICRA has slightly LARGER front Vented discs, 10.24 x 0.87, compared to 10.02 x 0.87 on the VERSA

In Japan the Nismo S specification (highest performance grade available) E12, Nissan Note uses rear disk brakes. Good news is, the entire assembly still uses the current rear torsion beam so technically, if all the parts are acquired a conversion can be made, but requires the master cylinder to be changed since the E12 Note Nismo S uses a larger model.

I completely understand where the drum & disc brake swap coming from. But.... may I ask.....

Will it be possible to swap a older Nissan car with rear drums to a larger one? (Currently it's a 8, but if you swap to a 9 or even a 10in) I really can't see the gain is less than the disc brake.....

+ 1 HUGE advantage, if you like drifting around in snow (By pulling E-brake) You have done the upgrade already.

Thought I'd share this for the curious crowd, a future conversion I'd like to do. Cable is still present.

Japan keeps the good stuff for themselves, here's a shot of the entire rear axle assembly from the E12 Nismo S.

How much are we talking about?

Btw, how are you going to order the rotor & brake pad once they are almost there?
