    Winter tire question

    Hey All,

I'm about to get some winter tires for my 2016 Micra SV.

Will 185/65R15 88T BOLT PATTERN 4x100mm work well for me? Got a solid deal on them.

    Thanks' for the help!!

    i vote yes
    2015 Micra S (manual)
    no A/C /no power options/ block heater/4x 2 Ohm speakers...all factory stock in 2015
    Feb 2015 build
    9,999 purchase price + tax..no additional 1600$ because it was a 2015 purchased in 2016
so receipt says $8,399....+1600 .... so they look good i guess...for a brand new car!

Depends on the center bore on the rims

185/65/15 are a little taller than stock size, but it will work, and like wise center bore is a key factor, has to be 60mm which is hard to find, most steel wheels with 4x100 are 56mm or smaller, i had a hard time finding use steel wheels myself, and had to buy brand new ones with 60mm bore

    Not entirely a bad choice.

I want to use 195/65R15 on OE steel wheels. They are 31.5mm greater diameter and therefore I will loose 15.75 mm clearance to the fenders. Do you think they will work?

You might want to watch for rubbing when your front wheels are fully turned left or right. Your biggest issue is going to be that the speedometer/odometer will no longer be accurate, and that could appear to affect your fuel economy numbers.

It's too bad, that with all the computerized systems in cars today, there is no easy way to configure them for different tire sizes!

I run 185 65 r15 winter tires. The speedometer is off by just a little bit. At 102 km/h my speedometer reads 100. Barely noticeable. No rubbing, not even close.

if you guys can supply the tire and rim size (normal 185/60R16 what ever), including the rim width (S / SV use 5.5" wide rims), and the offset, I can draw what your wheels will do and how close they'll get to the fender liner during turning... Tom - I'll do yours in a bit (currently drawing a kitchen). The only other thing that would be useful for shock travel worries would be... what's the stock ride height in each corner? it's the one thing I can't go out and measure myself :P
